Community Tree Planting

JOIN OUR BLUE WATER FORESTRY TEAM TO PLANT 81 TREES ON THE STREET MEDIANS OF RT. 40 HIGHWAY!

Please note – there is a mile long walk to the actual planting site – vehicle transfer will be available if you are unable to walk the mile trek. Parking will be located at the Park’n’Ride and there will be ample Blue Water Baltimore signage indicating our initial meeting location.

Blue Water Baltimore offers the opportunity for volunteers to engage in the world of urban forestry through our community forestry tree planting and maintenance events paired with a demonstration and brief lecture. Volunteers will learn all about native tree species and urban ecosystems along with all the best stewardship practices and unique challenges that face Baltimore’s tree canopy. Activities can include tree plantings, pruning, mulching and general site-specific maintenance and no prior experience is necessary.
