HOW TO CREATE STORM DRAIN ART

See the new stencils we have to offer!
We have a variety of new and exciting stencils of slogans and Bay animals that can be used to create storm drain art.  Take a look at the stencils we have to offer to give you some ideas for what you could bring to your neighborhood storm drains.

Apply to obtain approval from the City for your project
Before painting, all designs and projects need to be approved by the City. Fill out this form, attach your designs (if applicable), and send it to us. We will review the application with the City and get you an approval letter!

Come to a training!
Every project leader needs to come to a training in order to use the stencil share. Check out our events page to find out the date of the next training.  Once you have been trained, you can reserve a stencil kit!

Reserve a stencil kit!  Let us know when you want to reserve a kit for your project.

Fill out our storm drain art report form!
Once your project is complete, help us to track the progress of the stencil share and get your new drains exposure by filling out this form. We will use the information you give us to tell people where in the city your art is, who worked on it, and show them photos you take on the day of your project!

Tench Tilghman EMS students and Banner Neighborhoods painted this mural using a combination of stencils. They also came up with the clever stencil slogan, “Trash in the street pollutes what we eat.”
